Disabling the plugin
The plugin adds an item in the browser's preferences allowing users to disable the plugin (without uninstalling it).
To disable the plugin on Mozilla or Netscape, you have to:
- Open the preferences panel by going to 'Edit > Preferences...'
- Go to 'Advanced > HONcode Status' in the preferences panel
- Uncheck 'Display the HONcode status icon'

To disable the plugin on Mozilla Firebird, you have to:
- Open the options panel by going to 'Tools > Options...'
- Select 'Extensions' in the options panel and select the 'HONcode Status Extension v1.0' in the list of installed extensions
- Click on the 'Disable Extension' button

Check for update (v0.8+)
Starting with version 0.8 of the plugin, a button is displayed in the preferences (for Mozilla / Netscape) or settings (for Mozilla Firebird) to automatically check for updates.
Uninstall (v1.0+)
Starting with version 1.0 of the plugin, a button is displayed in the preferences (for Mozilla / Netscape) or settings (for Mozilla Firebird) to uninstall the extension.

After installing the HONlookup plugin, select some text (e.g. "eating disorders"), right-click on it to open the context menu, and select the item 'Lookup at HONcodeHunt' as shown in the screenshot below:

This will make a search for the selected text on HONcodeHunt as shown in the screenshot below. In the screenshot, you can also see that search results are displayed in the search tab of the sidebar (because the HONcodeHunt Sherlock plugin was installed as well).

Preferences panel (v1.0+)
Preferences / Options for HONlookup are accessible the same way as with HONcode Status.
Check for update (v1.0+)
